It’s not just about finding a good bull; it’s about finding the right bull—one that’s been bred and developed in conditions that mirror those of your own operation. We’re raising athletes, not show animals. When I started raising Angus bulls, it was because I had never seen a high-performing athlete train by living on fast food and never leaving a small pen. Bulls need the right environment to develop the strength, stamina, and resilience required for real-world ranching.

Raising bulls in the same conditions as your commercial cattle ensures they’re adapted to the environment they’ll be working in. Whether it’s the climate, terrain, or forage, bulls raised in these conditions have already proven their ability to thrive. When you bring in bulls from different environments, you’re gambling that they’ll adapt, and often, they don’t perform as well in your unique setting.

By focusing on genetics raised under similar conditions to my herd, I’m ensuring the bulls I produce aren’t just top-tier in breeding, but they’re also resilient, healthy, and proven to perform in real-world ranching conditions. This approach has allowed me to produce bulls that local ranchers can depend on—not just to improve their herds, but to increase their profitability as well.
